Travelling on the A 82 from the South, take the turning right marked "Glencoe Village 3.5 miles". This is a single track lane with passing places, you will pass the Clachaig Inn and the youth Hostel on your left. Follow this road for 3 miles, and then turn right at the Scorrybreac sign. The guest house is 500 yards up this drive.
Travelling on the A 82 from the North, turn left at the Glencoe Village sign and immediately (within 10 yards) turn right into the village. Follow the main street for 500 yards, cross the small, stone Bridge of Coe. Twenty yards from the Bridge, turn left up the wooded drive at the Scorrybreac sign. The guest house is 500 yards up this drive.
Public Transport Directions
From the nearest information centre:- From Ballachulish Tourist Information Centre, turn right onto A82 for Glasgow. At Glencoe village turn left and immediately turn right into the village. 500 meters to the Bridge of Coe, first left then follow signs for 500 meters to Scorrybreac.
Whilst we welcome green travelers, getting to many of the popular walks and sights from the Guest house on foot or public transport can be difficult. The distance to the starting point of any published/popular walk may be further than the walk itself. If you are planning to arrive by foot consider this.
Getting there by railway:- Scotrail runs between Glasgow and Fort William, passengers can either dismount at Bridge of Orchy or Fort William stations. www.scotrail.co.uk and www.firstscotrail.com. The most convenient station is Fort William where buses/taxes can be taken to Glencoe. Or you can arrange for a hire car to be waiting for you once off the train. www.hawco.co.uk.
