Homecoming Scotland 2014: Perthshire Amber: The Dougie MacLean Festival

Music Event

Various Venues, Perthshire, PH1 4AB
Visitors are welcomed from across the world to experience stunning, autumnal Perthshire.

This 10 day festival includes world-class musicians joining 'Scotland's Musical Hero' Dougie MacLean on stage in an array of wonderfully diverse venues, from castles to an Iron Age crannog, from a prestigious concert hall to cosy village halls.

For this very exciting year, a curated programme of Homecoming Scotland 2014 heritage events has been specially created. This starts with a heritage day in Dunkeld including the delightful Decorated Wheelbarrow Procession, a gala event featuring pageantry and re-enactments and traditional sports and crafts in a gala concert which celebrates 10 years of the festival.

Other highlights of the Homecoming Scotland 2014 programme include a new ancestry trail around the region and some fascinating new workshops.

"A festival with vision and imagination...and great momentum" (Press & Journal)

"A jewel of a festival" (Scotsman)
