The Dryfesdale Lodge Visitor Centre, with the nearby Lockerbie Air Disaster Memorial and Garden of Remembrance, creates a lasting memorial to the 270 lives lost as a result of the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 on December 21st 1988.

The Lodge also pays tribute to the community of Lockerbie and the enduring links developed with groups around the word in the aftermath of the Lockerbie Air Disaster. The Visitor Centre also hosts exhibitions about Lockerbie and the surrounding area.

Dryfesdale Lodge Visitor Centre, formerly a cemetery worker's cottage, was opened on 25 October 2003 after extensive renovation work funded by the Lockerbie Trust and is maintained with grant assistance from Dumfries & Galloway Council.

Since opening the Visitor Centre has welcomed many thousands of visitors from the UK and overseas.
