Rowallan Castle Golf Club is the latest addition to Ayrshire's seemingly endless list of world class golf courses. Designed by Eight times European No 1 golfer and 2010 winning Ryder Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie, the course is now in its fifth full season of play and is fast gaining a global reputation as a masterpiece thanks to its fast undulating greens, cavernous bunkers and mature setting.

When Rowallan Castle estate was laid out more than 700 years ago it could have been with championship golf in mind.

Golfers will marvel at the way Colin Montgomerie and his team have designed the course, with sensitivity to provide not only a fair test of golf, but also a haven for local flora and fauna. Players will negotiate winding streams, impressive mature woodlands, and even a Bronze Age settlement. This is prime golfing real estate which is set to become an instant modern classic.

Uniquely, Rowallan Castle also boasts a 19th hole... "The Money Hole". This testing long par 3 is where serious golfers will settle their bets before enjoying a well deserved refreshment in the other 19th.
