Clairinch, also known as The Flat Island, is a small level wooded island set on the waters of Loch Lomond.

The island, covered in oaks entwined with ivy, has a significant place in local history. The Third Earl of Lennox gave Clairinch to Absolon of Buchanan, the son of the King of Ulster, in 1225 and the island became associated with the family as it held meetings of Clan Buchanan since then.
