Dalwhinnie

Towns & Villages

Set amongst the dramatic mountain scenery in Badenoch, the small hamlet of Dalwhinnie is a good base for exploring the surrounding countryside.

Dalwhinnie lies at the head of Loch Etricht and is surrounded by magnificent mountains. Ben Alder is nearby and makes for a great walking experience.

Pop into Dalwhinnie Distillery which is home to the famous Dalwhinnie Single Malt Scotch and is part of the Diageo Range. Looking over the flat base of Glen Truim from the height of 1,154 ft above sea level, the distillery boasts the highest elevation for a working distillery in all of Scotland and provides a delightful Visitor Centre which offers tours with a wee dram all year round!
