Flora & Fauna in November

Although some of Scotland's summer visitors will by November have departed, some of our most famous and impressive animals can still be found, Red deer are a spectacular and rewarding sight in the hills and glens - watch out for large males on ridge lines across the Highlands for example, or groups of females and youngsters in the glens of the Hebrides.

On the look out for smaller and more elusive creatures? Then why not try to spot red squirrels running between trees or foraging the forest floor throughout Perthshire. A shy animal that is often heard before it is seen by the sounds of its claws on the bark of the tree as it climbs, you'll need to be really observant to spot them!
