Lerwick on the Shetland Isles, connects to the mainland with a regular ferry service to Aberdeen.

Northlink Ferries ply the North Sea waves from Lerwick, capital of Shetland to Orkney and Aberdeen. There are nightly sailings from Aberdeen to Lerwick in Shetland - with four of these sailings going via Orkney's capital, Kirkwall.

Getting to and from Lerwick ferry:

By car
The terminal building is situated about two miles from the town centre and is well signposted. There are a limited number of free parking spaces (both long and short stay).

By bus
There is a bus stop outside the ferry terminal, from where the bus goes into Lerwick town centre, and to the bus station, for onward travel around Shetland.
