Troon

Troon links Scotland to Belfast and Larne in Northern Ireland.

Fast ferries to Belfast - operated by SeaCat, and Larne by P&O leave from Troon, on the Ayrshire coast.

Getting there and away:

By rail
There are twice hourly connections from Troon to Glasgow and Paisley. There are also connecting services to Ayr, Kilmarnock and Newcastle. The station is a 25-minute walk from the ferry terminal.

By coach
There are no coach services to Troon. The nearest coach hub is Ayr, from where services go to Glasgow, Prestwick, Stranraer and Dumfries.

By car
Troon is just north of Ayr & Prestwick in Ayrshire. Approach from Irvine on the A78, and from the A77 from Ayr and Kilmarnock. Follow the signs to the ferry port. There are short and long term pay and display car parking facilities adjacent to the ferry terminal.
