Aberdeen

The Town House, Aberdeen & a helicopter
Aberdeen airport is the world's busiest commercial heliport - nearly half its air traffic is helicopter flights, which serve North Sea oil operations.

Over 2.5 million people pass through the airport annually, with that figure increasing every year. Business travel domnates, with 26 daily flights to London, and regular direct flights to the UK's regional airports. Further afield, Amsterdam and Paris are the most popular European destinations.

The airport is open between 0500 and 2230. It is laid out on a single floor and is equipped with shops, bureaux de change, left luggage and baby care facilities. Check-in is located at the front of the concourse with domestic arrivals and all departure lounges located towards the rear.

Travellers with special needs can contact the airport enquiries line on (01224) 722331 or minicom (01224) 725082 to pre-arrange assistance or check available facilities.
