Edinburgh Airport has recently undergone a £100 million re-development to extend and upgrade its terminal facilities. Check-in is located in the middle of the ground-floor concourse with domestic arrivals on the right and international arrivals on the left.

Getting to and from the airport
By car
The airport is about 25 minutes drive from the city centre, outside of peak rush-hour times when the journey time can be as much as an hour. Road access to the airport is from the two-level junction on the A8 midway between the Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts. There are one-hour and short-stay parking facilities if you wish to see off or meet someone from a flight. There are also longer-stay and holiday parking options available with a frequent courtesy transfer service operating on the 10-minute journey between the car park and the terminal. By bus
There is an express bus service to Edinburgh city centre which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Airlink bus no.100 leaves from stand 19 and tickets can be purchased from the VistScotland Information desk at International arrivals. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes and terminates at Waverley Bridge, near to the main railway station and bus station and close to the city's main street, Princes Street.
By taxi
Taxis are available from a designated rank beside the coach park outside the UK arrivals hall.
By hire car
All car rental companies are based in the car rental village adjacent to the main terminal. Freephones are available within the terminal at UK arrivals A courtesy bus service runs from the terminal forecourt at stand 17 to the car-collection area. Rental return areas are indicated by road signs. Some other off-airport companies can be contacted using a courtesy phone located between UK arrivals and check-in halls.
By train
Edinburgh Airport does not have direct rail access at present. The city's main railway hub, Waverley station, in the city centre, is easily reached by taxi or bus. From here, there are frequent services to Glasgow and a variety of other destinations in Scotland and England. Most train services also operate from Edinburgh Haymarket station which is on the main bus route between the airport and the city centre.
