Inverness Airport is situated nine miles east of Inverness city centre. It is the key business and leisure airport for the Highlands and Islands, supporting links with London and regional services within the Highlands and Islands and to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The airport is open between 0645 and 2200 Monday to Saturday (to 1915 on Saturdays during wiinter) and between 0645 and 2200 on Sundays (from 0815 during winter). The airport is equipped with shops, ATM, bar and restaurant facilities. For travellers with special needs, you can contact the airport information desk on (01667) 464 000 to pre-arrange assistance or check available facilities. Avis and Hertz car rental desks are located in the terminal building.

Getting to and from the airport

By car
The main road access to the airport is via the Inverness-to-Nairn A96. The access road is off the B9039 and is clearly signposted from the main road. Long- and short-term parking is available in the car park directly in front of the terminal building.

By bus
A bus runs every 90 minutes from the centre of Inverness, from outside the post office in Queensgate, to the airport.

By train
The airport does not have direct rail access. The nearest train station is in Inverness town centre, and trains run to Inverness from the rest of the UK. There is also a station at Nairn, and trains run from there to Inverness every two hours with a journey time of around 15 minutes.
