Book a city break to Aberdeen and discover why this north-east settlement is known as the Granite City. Explore the city centre streets and admire the iconic granite buildings, bustling harbour and sandy beach.
The city of Aberdeen boasts many great attractions, places to eat and entertainment but you can still enjoy the great outdoors and activities. Visit the parks of Aberdeen including Hazlehead Park and Duthie Park, which is home to the Winter Gardens.
The city centre is very close to Aberdeen beach, which is a good location for a variety of activities including surfing, sea kayaking and kite buggying.
You can even find fascinating wildlife on the coast of the city – Torry Point Battery, an artillery battery at the harbour, is now an important spot for wildlife and one of the best places in the UK to watch for dolphins and porpoises.
This region is well-known for its variety of golf courses and you can access many easily from the city centre. Hazlehead Park has three golf courses, while the Royal Aberdeen Golf Course at Balgownie Links is the sixth oldest course in the world and will host the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open in July this year.
