THIS IS AN AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY AND RICH IN HISTORY WITH AMPLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES OR JUST SIMPLY RELAXING. This modern apartment is within a listed building "The Monaltrie". There are attractive landscaped gardens leading down to the River Dee. Private parking space is available.

The apartment consists of one double and one twin ensuite bedroom. There is full electric heating, an open plan dining area and comfortable lounge with TV and DVD Player. The fully fitted kitchen includes Neff fridge-freezer, oven and hob, washer/drier and dishwasher.

The property is in the village within walking distance of shops / galleries and an excellent range of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops serving fresh Scottish produce. The Ballater 18 hole golf course with its own bar / restaurant is only 5 minutes walk away.

Attractions in the area include:
Fishing, Shooting, Ski-ing, Hill-walking, Golfing including Braemar the highest 18 hole golf course in the UK, gliding nearby at Aboyne, tennis and bowls.
10 minutes by car is Balmoral Castle, Scottish Home to the Royal Family where there are exhibitions, gift shop, tea-room, walking trails and pony-trekking. You will also find Royal Lochnagar Distillery closeby where you can sample some fine whisky.

Ballater is within the Cairngorm National Park where you will find walking for all capabilities from munro-bagging to pleasant rambles, see red deer, capercaillie, red squirrels and golden eagles.
