    Enjoying stunning views from every window across Jedburgh towards the Abbey and Cheviot Hills, Tweed Cottage is set in an enviable position in beautifully landscaped grounds and provides a relaxing holiday haven.

    Beautiful cottage with stunning views over Jedburgh towards the Cheviot Hills. The cottage is tranquil with not a road in sight.  There is a private decked area and a pretty landscaped garden leading down to Jedburgh town which is just a 5 minute walk away.

    Jedburgh is a charming town set on the Jed Water, with a wide range of traditional shops and numerous pubs, cafes and restaurants. Historically there are plenty medieval abbeys and monuments to explore. Places to visit include Jedforest Deer Farm Park, Jedburgh Castle and Jail Museum, Harestanes Countryside Centre. Jedurgh is also a great location for cycling and walking.  Getting to Newcastle and Edinburgh takes just over one hour by car. 

    Ten steps to the entrance. Living/dining-room with well-equipped modern kitchen area. Two bedrooms - Double bedroom and Twin-bedded room. Bathroom/W.C. with over-bath shower. All bedding and towels are provided.

    Road Directions

    The Scottish Borders are within easy reach of the North of England and Central Scotland. The three major trunk roads within the Borders; the A1 in the East and the A7 and A68 in the central Borders.

    Finding Tweed Cottage when in Jedburgh
    Turn off the A68 into Jedburgh. At the cross is Victoria Wine, if it is on your right take the next right onto Exchange Street and drive up the hill. At the top of the hill just before open fields turn left into Wildcatcleugh then immediately left again, down a slight hill into our car park.
    From there the back of the cottages are visible which have a turret at each end, walk down the steps to the front of the cottages and along to number 14.

    Public Transport Directions

    Getting there by railway:- Edinburgh's two main rail stations sit only one hours drive or 1 1/2 hours in the bus from Jedburgh, the route is very scenic. There are over 15 trains running daily between Edinburgh and Kings Cross and over 10 between Carlisle and Euston. The London to Berwick-upon-Tweed takes only
    4 hours and Jedburgh is approx 45 minutes away.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- Jedburgh is easily reached from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle International Airports that are all within
    1 to 2 hours travel. All three have direct connections with over thirty destinations including Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris; and there are over 25 scheduled return flights to London. Car hire is available at the airport or from local hire car companies.
