Follow road signs to Edinburgh's CITY CENTRE. 21 Cordiner's Land is located at 70 West Port (which is the continuation road through the Grassmarket) close to the corner of Lady Lawson Street and West Port. Cordiner's Land is on the South side of West Port, where the road widens out (there is a bus stop opposite the building). There are shops on either side of the entrance, which is an ancient stone entranceway with green door and CORDINER'S LAND sign above.Public Transport Directions
From the nearest information centre:- To walk from the Tourist Information Centre on Princes Street: go through the Old Town (not recommended if carrying heavy luggage). Go south along Waverley Bridge, turn right up Market St, cross road & up Mound Place, into Ramsay Lane. Right towards the Castle, down steps on left near entrance to Castle Esplanade to Johnson Terr. Down steps to Grassmarket. Turn right and walk to end of Grassmarket, cross King's Stables Rd & left up to West Port, continue until road widens. No 70 is on the left.Getting there by railway:- From Waverley Railway Station, take a taxi (£3-£4) or bus. To walk, go through Old Town (not recommended if carrying heavy luggage). Getting there by aeroplane:- From Edinburgh Airport: taxis take approx. 20mins, fares around £13-£15. Airport buses provide express shuttle service, approx 25 mins, fares £5p.p. return. Alight at West End of Princes St and either take a taxi, fare £2-£3, or walk approx. 7 mins to West Port - along the 1st block of Lothian Rd, left into Castle Terrace, right at Spittal St, then sharp left up Lady Lawson St. Left down West Port, number 70 is on the south side (on right opposite bus stop), between antiquarian bookshops.
