    Welcome to 24 North Shawbost. Cosy detached property suitable for families or small groups.

    The house comprises - kitchen, lounge, two double bedrooms upstairs and a further downstairs room which can be used as a dining room or extra bedroom. This room has a sofa bed. The bathroom has a bath and large shower and there are also front and back porches. Fold down bed also available for small children.

    Heating is a combination of oil and electrically heated radiators. There is a multi fuel stove in the lounge.

    Shawbost beach is less  than 5 minutes walk from the property and is in an ideal location for walkers and bird watchers. Very peaceful and quiet- ideal for de- stressing.

    Nearby are a selection of local interest craft shops,tea rooms,delicatessen,and art galleries. Harris tweed can also be bought locally,there are still some weavers in Lewis although the industry is much diminished now.

    Stornoway,the main town in Lewis is a 30 minute drive away,it has two large supermarkets- Cooperative and Tesco,plus many other smaller shops and businesses.

    The property is also within easy reach of many local attractions - Doune Carloway broch,Callanish stones,Arnol blackhouse and the Lighthouse at the Butt of Lewis to name but a few.

    Whilst good weather cannot be guaranteed (please pack for all weathers) the landscape is unusual and is popular with artists. Come and visit Lewis and enjoy the experience.

    The property can sleep up to 6 people, bearing in mind the two upstairs rooms are both double bedrooms.

    Opening times are from April to October 2014.

    Prices are £280 per week April,May,September and October.

    £350 per week June,July and August.
