27 The Green Swinton

Overview

It is situated on the south-east side of the green in the quiet conservation village of Swinton.

Swinton is in the Merse, a fertile landscape of farmland, rolling hills, woodlands and rivers lying between the Cheviot Hills to the south and the Lammermuirs to the north.

There are a great many attractions, activities and places of interest within easy reach so whatever your interests, you'll find plenty to keep you occupied!

Please have a look through our website which not only describes the cottage but also gives a variety of links to other local sites with a wealth of information about the area. The cottage is traditional in appearance but has bewen completely remodelled internally to provide a high standard, contemporary interior. Although the cottage will sleep eight the owners feel it would be more appropriate for four single (perhaps fishermen) or two couples (perhaps with children. The reason is that the bedrooms are small although the lounge and dining area is more than adequate.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms and one bathroom and downstairs there are two bedrooms each with en suite shower rooms.

Ther is an insulated and heated kennel at the foot of an enclosed and secure garden.

Parking can also be at the rear of the property or on the village green.

Also on the green is the Wheatsheaf Hotel and Bar well known locally for good food.
