The property is well located in the heart of Castle Douglas and has been in the current owner's family for over five decades. it was originally two flats but has been lovingly renovated to create a single spacious house. Sleeping up to seven guests, it now has ample space for a family. The owner's themselves have spent many fantastic holidays here and regularly make small improvements to make the accommodation even more comfortable for their visitors.The house boasts a fantastic central location within short walking distance from a number of shops. There's plenty of choice for eating in or out whether it's stocking up on local produce from the town's fantastic retailers to create a culinary masterpiece in the large kitchen, or treating yourself in one of Castle Douglas' delightful restaurants.
Ideally situated for walking and touring with plenty of choice for anglers and wildlife enthusiasts, 45 Academy Street is also within easy reach of fantastic golf courses, the romantic seascapes over the Mull of Galloway, and miles of cycle routes and magnificent walks in the magnificent Mabie, Ae and Dalbeattie forests.
