Walkers will love the unspoilt scenery along the Solway Coastal Route. In fact, a number of walks start at the hotel - try Criffel with its astounding views over the Solway Firth.

The hotel is only 7 miles from the famous Southerness Golf Club and within easy driving distance of another 20 courses. The hotel will even arrange your itinerary and make bookings with the golf clubs on your behalf. The area's quiet roads are just made for cyclists while mountain bikers will relish tackling the 7stanes trails at nearby Mabie and Dalbeattie Forest.
