Tucked away on the edge of the bustling Borders town of Coldstream this charming four bedroom period house offers guests the best of both worlds. Sleeps 8. Superb river location. Perfectly placed for walking, cycling and fishing.
Abbey House was completely renovated throughout in 2011 to an extremely high standard including a superb handmade kitchen and four beautifully-presented bedrooms each with their own luxury bathroom. The cosy interior makes the most of the many charming, period features including an original inglenook fireplace and bread oven, Venetian style windows and a restored open fire in the sitting room. The style is one of relaxed elegance with classic furnishings, cosy fabrics, stripped wood floors in the dining room and drawing room, and many interesting antique pieces dotted around the house.
The large, attractive, walled garden which surrounds the house is a peaceful, secluded haven with superb views over the Nun's Walk, the River Tweed and out to Flodden Field and the Cheviot Hills beyond. Yet Coldstreams' shops and pubs are all within a few minutes' walk from the house.
