    Apart from the interesting little shops, Melrose has a few good restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance as well as a scenic 9 hole golf course.

    At Abbeyside the enclosed decking/seating area provides views over playing fields and towards the hills. There is easy access to restful walks and fishing opportunities along the nearby River Tweed.

    Melrose is located at the foot of the Eildon Hills and famous for its rugby 7's in April and also the Book Festival in June. Melrose is centrally located and an ideal base for visiting many of the local historic houses and visitor attractions.
