Abbots Brae Hotel

Overview

Award-winning small country house hotel with breathtaking views of sea and hills. We have a small number of individual bedrooms and you will have the chance to discuss your requirements with the people who know best - the owners.

Abbot's Brae is a lovely small family-run hotel situated in its own private woodland garden. Guests always comment on the stunning views of the sea and hills and its peaceful secluded setting, yet it is only one mile from Dunoon, one hour from Glasgow and situated at the western gateway to the Loch Lomond National Park. We pride ourselves on creating a hospitable home from home atmosphere with the emphasis placed on relaxation and comfort.

As for our rooms, all have en-suite facilities, hospitality tray, TV, radio, direct-dial telephone, hairdryer and full central heating. We have four sea-facing bedrooms either with four-poster, super-king size or twin beds and comfortable seating areas, three spacious garden facing double bedded rooms and one ground floor double bedded room. Our comfortable Lounge and Dining Room are located at the front of the house and have magnificent views of the sea and surrounding hills.

Abbot's Brae is the perfect setting for Romantic Breaks and small, intimate weddings, whether it is for a House Party Wedding catering for parties up to 24 or just for 2!

The ceremony can take place within the hotel and gardens or at the historic, picturesque Castle House, Dunoon's Registry Office, situated on the hill overlooking the Victorian Pier and located only one mile away. We can put you in touch with the local Minister or the Registrar to make the necessary arrangements.
