We're situated on the A82 so if you're travelling by car, just head out from Glasgow along the main A82 towards Loch Lomond and you can’t miss us!
Public Transport Directions
From Glasgow Airport follow M8 & signs for Erskine Bridge. Once on the bridge, keep in the left hand lane & take the A82 signposted for Crianlarich. Continue on the A82 following signs for Loch Lomond. The Abbotsford Hotel is approximately 4 miles form the Erskine Bridge, on the left as you drive towards Loch Lomond.
Dumbarton East train station is about 1 mile from the hotel and is a short 10 minute walk. (Or if you've got some luggage around £3 in a taxi.) There are 4 trains per hour heading into Glasgow and the journey itself takes around 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a 15 minute ride to Balloch on the shores of Loch Lomond & Loch Lomond National Park. Cruises round Loch Lomond, shopping or even Segways are available!
