Located just a short distance from Pitlochry town centre with complimentary WI-FI and parking, this family-run Victorian Hotel offers a friendly Highland welcome with cosy accommodation, scenic views, and exciting cuisine. Acarsaid is one of the oldest hotels in Pitlochry, dating back to 1880 it has operated as a Hotel since the early 50’s and every effort has been taken to ensure that the building still retains much of its’ original charm and features. Displaying an exemplary commitment to customer service, the Hotel has garnered an impressive reputation for providing a warm, attentive welcome and for cultivating a friendly home-from-home atmosphere. Whether business or leisure, guests are guaranteed a comfortable, relaxing stay and above all, an enjoyable experience.

Each of the 28 en-suite rooms are individually furnished and decorated and come in a range of different shapes and sizes, as one would expect from a building of this age. What they do share however, are tasteful contemporary styles and an emphasis on comfort and relaxation. Every room features all the modern conveniences one would expect, including free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, deluxe Scottish toiletries, hairdryer and tea & coffee facilities. There is also a range of room types available, from Double and Twin to Family and Superior options, each purposefully designed to feel as cosy and homely as possible.

Perthshire boasts some of the finest local produce in the UK, a claim that is masterfully realised at the Acarsaid Hotel. From breakfast to dinner, every dish is carefully prepared using the very best locally sourced ingredients, fresh from Scotland’s award-winning larder. Add to that a wealth of exciting international influences and guest’s can expect to receive some truly delicious cuisine. With plenty of meal options and an extensive, ever-evolving menu featuring the best in traditional delicacies, hearty meals and home-made treats, there is sure to be something to satisfy even the most discerning of appetites.

The Acarsaid Hotel extends a warm welcome to all its’ guests and is keen to help them make the most of their stay. Staff have an extensive knowledge of the local area and are happy to assist in planning breaks and excursions. What’s more, they can even arrange packed lunches and breakfasts as well as a range of other services and facilities such as a theatre chauffeuring, golf breaks, bicycle storage, sumptuous high tea, a versatile meeting room and much more besides. The hotel is both family and pet friendly and they will be delighted to help arrange suitable requirements and specialised accommodation.

Despite the Hotel’s quiet location it is both convenient and easily accessible being only a 2 minute drive from the A9 and a further 35 minutes to the city of Perth. Pitlochry Rail Station is just a quick taxi ride away, or alternatively a brief 12 minute walk. There are regular services to Perth Station from which travellers can expect excellent transport links to the rest of the Country. For those flying in the nearest major airport is Edinburgh, roughly an 80 minute drive away, or there’s the smaller Perth International Airport, a 45 minute drive from the Hotel.Primarily a holiday destination, Pitlochry is located in the heart of Scotland and offers a wide range of things to see and do. The town has retained many stone-built Victorian buildings and the main street has an unusual period cast iron canopy over one side. For such a small highland town there is a surprisingly large variety of restaurants, cafes and eateries to discover, offering everything from simple fish and chips to top-class menus and stylish cuisine. Of course, what makes it truly special is the stunning scenery and beautiful vistas of the surrounding countryside and mountains. The area is a veritable Mecca for hill-walkers, ramblers, nature enthusiasts and mountain climbers alike. For those seeking cultural pursuits, there is the famous Pitlochry Festival Theatre, offering a diverse selection of high-quality productions and dedicated performances. For whiskey lovers, Pitlochry is the proud home to both the Bell’s Blair Athol Distillery and the Edradour Distillery which is the smallest whiskey distillery in Scotland, producing only 12 casks a week!

Just a few miles north is the beautiful Pass of Killiecrankie, site of one of the most famous and bloodiest battles in the first Jacobite Uprising and now in the care of The National Trust of Scotland. Just a 15 minute drive from the Hotel is the small town of Blair Atholl and its’ most famous feature the magnificent Blair Castle, the ancient seat of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl.
