Beautifully restored spacious farmhouse in peaceful and isolated environment. Ideal for children and just 2 hours from Glasgow.
Acharossan House is an 18th century Georgian laird's house secluded in its own 1200 acre farm on the eastern shore of Loch Fyne in a landscape of uninhabited hills, grassland, moors and forests.
The house has recently been completely restored by its owners to provide very comfortable accommodation for 9 (plus 2), and is available as self-catering rental accommodation. There are 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a sitting room, library, large modern kitchen/dining room, a terrace perfect for barbecues, and a tennis court. Everything is beautifully arranged with a lot of thought given to every detail to provide the best facilities you could expect.
From the south-west facing front there are wonderful panoramic views over the glen of Acharossan Burn which you can follow down to the sea at Loch Fyne where you have private access to the seashore.
In this wide and peaceful landscape the only sounds you are likely to hear are birdsong, animals grazing in the fields below, and the breeze in the trees and grasses.
