Ae Farm Cottages

Overview

The charming cottages are built into the stone steadings of an old farm and overlook an unspoiled valley surrounded by forests and hills. Providing a haven of peace and quiet for four to eight guests, the impressive traditional exterior is perfectly complemented by elegant furnishings and modern amenities inside. Coal fires and wood burning stoves create a beautiful focal point in the living and dining areas and each has been beautifully designed to meet guests every self-catering need with a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, light and airy bedrooms and modern bathrooms and shower rooms.

The cottages are a great choice for animal lovers and those who appreciate nature, with sheep, ponies and Highland cattle grazing peacefully in the fields. Aside from the farm animals, wildlife is abundant in the surrounding area and you may spot deer, red squirrels and rare birds on the neighbouring quiet roads, tracks and fields. Situated between Moffat, Dumfries and Thornhill, and just 2 miles from the village of Ae, there is plenty of stunning gardens, fascinating history, challenging golf courses and fantastic restaurants to discover. The impressive Forest of Ae is one of the largest in the UK and boasts acres of woodland trails, stunning scenery and exhilarating cycling tracks.
