Overview

We are a family run Guest House offering friendly and welcoming hospitality; clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, superb service and tourism advice and a succulent cold and hot breakfast in the morning. We offer en suite rooms with tea and coffee making facilities, alarm clock, freeview TV, hairdryer and access to free wireless; there is free on site limited parking and plenty off street parking nearby.

Our staff speak Portuguese, Spanish, German, Arab and of course English, and they will be happy to help you in any queries or special requirements. Alba Hills Guest House is an elegant Victorian house in the leafy area of Edinburgh's City Centre. The house itself dates back to 1862 and maintains much of its original charm and character, capturing the grandeur of the Victorian period and keeping many original features which include beautiful ornate ceilings reflecting the prosperity of the city.

Situated on a main corridor into the city centre, a 5 - 10 minute bus trip or 15 - 20 minute walk will have you within easy access to all of Edinburgh's fine attractions including Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, Scottish Parlament, Princes Street and the bustling City Centre. There are bars, shops, restaurants and swimming/fitness centres within a few minutes stroll of Alba Hills Guest House. There are also many fine walks with stunning views of the city within easy reach.

Our rooms are spacious, bright, clean, comfortable and some of them with stunnings views of the famous Arthur's Seat. Most of the rooms are en suite with toilet and shower and all have wash-hand basins and include television, hairdryer, alarm clock and tea/coffee making facilities as standard. Each morning guests can start their day by enjoying a hot breakfast in the comfortable dining room. Our staff will receive and make you feel at home and can help you with any enquires in different languages including English, Arab, Spanish, French, Portuguese.

We have limited free car parking available, and there is plenty free off street parking avalaible around the Guest House. There is very good bus service into the City Centre just at our door.
