"A home alone offering complete privacy to the family or couple who stay"
The Barn holds a silver award under the Visitscotland Green Tourism Business Scheme in recognition of our effort to promote eco friendly tourism and was voted one of the 100 best B&Bs in Scotland by the Guardian newspaper in 2008.
The Barn combines spaciousness with the maximum of privacy and personal service in a detached stone building which has been modernized to a high standard and offers comfortable, undisturbed accommodation next to the house of its proprietors. There is ample parking alongside the barn, while inside the building itself there is the added bonus that although the main bedroom may sleep 2,3 or 4 of a family, there is a separate downstairs area that can accommodate the 3rd or 4th person, which may be more agreeable if they are adolescents/adults or belong to a group whose members are unreleated. There are also extra facilities in the form of a kitchen that allows residents to cook their own meals (apart from breakfast of course which is provided) and do a wash which will be tumble-dried for them in the main house.
The bathroom has a formidable power shower which can be turned down if required. Upstairs there are spectacular views through several windows and the resident has a delightful sense of having gone back in time almost to be in a traditional Highland village at the turn of the last century. In-house entertainment includes a wide range of books, games and a television and DVD with a selection of films with a Scottish theme to them.
Please note that prices are based on paying adult and discounts will be given for children and in some cases the third adult in the party.
