"A warm welcome awaits you at AmarAgua " Built in the 1880's in a quiet residential area, "AmarAgua" is a comfortable Victorian residence, recently upgraded but retaining many original features.

Just over 1 mile from Princes street, "AmarAgua" is conveniently located in a quite residential area, 100 meters from a main bus route, benefiting from easy access to all of Edinburgh's major attractions.

Near the Guest House you also find many recreational facilities include a golf course, tennis courts and a swimming pool as well as the majestic “Arthur Seat”, situated in the Holyrood Park in the middle of the city where you can hike to the top which takes about 40 minutes from us and enjoy the 360 degrees view of the capital of Scotland.

We endeavour at AmarAgua to make our guests stay a comfortable enjoyable and relaxing one, where the interior mixes an Oriental flavour with a fronted Victorian townhouse, with period decor and yet with all the modern technology, large flat screen TVs and complementary WI-FI throughout the house.

Throughout Edinburgh, you will find a wide array of quality restaurants, bars and cafes, offering dishes from a wide geographical area from traditional Scottish Fayre, Indian, Japanese, French, Italian, seafood specialists, catering for every taste in food and range of budget.

Your hosts Dawn-Ann & Tony are more than happy to share their local knowledge with you and suggest places to visit and see, eat and drink.

We would like you to enjoy our warm hospitality and to start your day in the best possible way with our "a la carte" breakfast, freshly cooked to order which offers a varied choice to suit all diets, served in a relaxed atmosphere.

When approaching Edinburgh, follow the signs to City Bypass A720 to "Sheriffhall" roundabout, take the route for city centre A7 (Old Dalkeith Road) to the roundabout at "Cameron Toll" Shopping Centre, continue to follow signs for Old Town, on to Dalkeith Road and we are the 5th road on your right.

From the North:

When you come over the "Forth Road Bridge" follow the signs for City Bypass A720 to "Sheriffhall" roundabout, take the route for city centre A7 (Old Dalkeith Road) to the roundabout at "Cameron Toll" Shopping Centre, continue to follow signs for Old Town, on to Dalkeith Road and we are the 5th road on your right.
