Our 1850s listed farmhouse, formerly the home farm to adjacent Ampherlaw House, has been renovated to the highest standard, and adjacent farm buildings have been converted to provide luxurious yet traditional bed and breakfast accommodation.

With just one double bed and breakfast room, the emphasis here is on attention to detail and we aim to make your stay a special one.

Our rural yet central location makes Ampherlaw Farmhouse the perfect getaway for romantic weekends, special occasions or for a few days enjoying the countryside. Your bedroom suite is furnished with luxury in mind.

Enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea tray with our delicious homebaking while you leaf through our books, maps and guest information to plan your stay.

Spend the evening locally, in Biggar, Lanark or Carnwath, or choose to have an evening in with a delicious home cooked meal made from fresh, local ingredients before retiring to your room.

Your ensuite bathroom has a bath with handheld and overhead showers, lots of fluffy towels and robes as well as luxury toiletries and l'Occitane products.

There are walking and cycling routes all around us and we can offer secure facilities for your bikes and a drying room for any wet boots and coats.

We are only three miles from the main A70 Edinburgh road, and we are centrally based to visit Edinburgh (35 minutes), Glasgow (40 minutes) and Stirling (40 minutes).

The local towns of Biggar and Lanark are approximately eight miles away and offer a range of boutique shops, an agricultural market and supermarkets, as well as leisure pursuits such as golf, tennis, horse riding, and swimming. New Lanark World Heritage Site lies just outside of Lanark.
