Anwoth Holiday Park, set in the picturesque town of Gatehouse of Fleet, provides the same blend of quality and service as its livelier sister park, Auchenlarie but in a quieter setting, offering miles of beautiful surrounding landscape and scenery that has inspired Scotland's authors and poets, and where wildlife abounds.
The park has 73 quality pitches for tourers and motorhomes - all with electric hook-up and TV points - as well as pitches for tents and 46 fully equipped and comfortable static caravans, four of which are available to let.
The excellent facilities include a laundry and spotlessly clean toilets and showers block. Well behaved pets are more than welcome, and if you are travelling with children high chairs and cots are available. A good selection of shops, traditional pubs and cosy cafes can be found within 2 miles of the park.
This is a great location for fishing, bird-watching, walking and cycling and is an ideal base for getting out and touring this beautiful corner of Scotland. Just some of the nearby attractions include the Cream o' Galloway Visitor Centre where you can join the ice cream tasting experience or the farm and creamery tour, or Cardoness Castle where from its top floor platform you can enjoy panoramic views across to England, Ireland and the Isle of Man.
