In a rural location just 6 miles from Campbeltown this cosy cottage is ideally situated for enjoying the unspoilt countryside and the secluded sandy bay which it shares with the otters, seals and sea birds. The Shore Cottage sits in an idyllic, tranquil sandy bay, with beautiful views to Arran and the Ayrshire coast. The garden path leads directly onto the beach, with spectacular sunrises to be seen.
Ardnacross Shore Cottage is situated within a short drive of world class golf at Machrihanish on the shores of the Atlantic and the recently completed Machrihanish Dunes Golf Club, not forgetting the splendid Dunaverty Links course & the 9 hole course at Carradale.
There are many fantastic walks to be had in the area, including several picturesque forestry walks and for the more adventurous walking enthusiasts, the Kintyre Way provides a great long distance walk (approx 87 miles) from Tarbert in the north to Southend in the south, but some would suggest that a gentle stroll on the beach is just as satisfying.....
Campbeltown also offers many facilities including sailing trips, fishing, sea angling, pony trekking, cinema, restaurants, shopping and a leisure centre with swimming pool. Day trips can be taken to the islands of Gigha and Arran by ferry. For the whisky connoisseur there are two single malts to be sampled in the town, from Glen Scotia and Springbank, visitors can also experience a tour at the Springbank distillery.
