There are numerous historic sites all around the area. Just a short drive away is the scene of the famed Massacre of Glencoe set amidst spectacular towering mountains. The monument to the Appin Murder, the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Kidnapped' is situated on the wooded hillside behind Ardno House.
There are several very good eating places within 5 minutes drive of the house, and if you wish to stretch your legs when you arrive, there is an amazing hillside walk behind the house with more wonderful panoramic views across the loch to the hills beyond.
