Ardilistry Cottage is a Visitscotland 4 star rated establishment one of only two on the island. With over one thousand red and fallow deer at your doorstep, eight miles of deserted coast, filled with sand, seals, otters and sea-birds, Scotland's finest Celtic Cross dating from 800 A.D. and the largest of only three original Oak forests remaining in Scotland.
There are excellent hill and coastal walks and opportunities for sea and loch fishing. In Port Ellen (eight miles) and Bowmore (eighteen miles) there are shopping facilities, pubs, restaurants and a post office. The Mactaggart Community Cybercafe in Port Ellen, serves food and will handle your e-mail.
