Overview

Parking is available if you are travelling by car, and the flat is on the bus route if not. While there are many car hire opportunities in Glasgow and at the airports; it may be possible to meet clients at train stations or airports by prior arrangement. Long and short breaks are catered for all year round at Arkland.

From the flat it's only a quick hop to the castle, visitor attractions, country walks, and the golf course; not to mention the obligatory 'scotch' at the local pub. Need ideas for your holiday or itineraries? The owner is a fully qualified Scottish Tourist Guide, who will be happy to advise you on holiday ideas; touring, unusual routes etc. This is an area which offers much of interest whatever the season, so treat yourself to a 'pick me up' with a break in Inveraray, in the heart of Argyll.

The first floor flat consists of:
Two bedrooms, 1 double bedroom with large fitted wardrobe and shower and 1 family bedroom with a double and single bed.
Lounge There is a large sofa bed in the lounge which sleeps 2 if necessary. There is a TV and video (with a selection of videos) & plenty of books and games for the colder winter nights. A log effect electric stove gives a cosy atmosphere. The lounge is spacious and light as it is open plan with the kitchen.
The new fitted kitchen has all the usual necessities (including washing machine, fridge/deep freezer and microwave).
The bathroom has a bath and electric shower, lots of hot water at any time.
The whole flat is centrally heated. All linen and electricity included in the price.

The Ground floor flat at Arkland is similar in layout to the First floor flat. It would be particularly suitable for people who do not wish to climb stairs or have a minor disability. The lounge leads through to a modern, fully equipped fitted kitchen with fridge, deep freeze, washing machine, microwave etc.

Open plan with the kitchen is a new Georgian style sun porch. There is an extra table and chairs and seating area here giving a bright sunny outlook with views to the garden and hills beyond. There is a back door and a small flight of stairs to the garden area with outside seating area in the summer months. There is one double room and the twin bedded room to the rear has an en-suite shower room. The refurbished bathroom has beautiful turquoise Spanish tiles and a large shower with a seat and handrails. All showers are electrically operated giving hot water on demand. The flat has original pine flooring throughout with complementing rugs. Tumble drier in the main hall - shared with the first floor flat.

Self-catering mainly but bed and breakfast may be available particularly in the winter months.
