Ashmark Cottage nestles into the hillside, amidst the secluded beauty and tranquility of lovely Glen Afton. Situated on a family hill farm, only two miles from the village of New Cumnock in Southwest Scotland.

Ashmark Farm Cottage nestles into the hillside in lovely Glen Afton amid scenic views, situated on a family livestock farm, only 2 miles from the village of New Cumnock in Southwest Scotland.
Here hill-walking in the Southern Uplands, fishing in loch, river and reservoir ( 2 season tickets available for your use), golf at New Cumnock 9 hole golf coarse,  or travel further to any of the great coarses in Ayrshire.
This delightful former shepherd's cottage, which is attached to the main farmhouse, is tastefully decorated and furnished, with oil-fired central heating throughout and is superbly equipped and maintained by caring hosts, who wish to offer their guests, a genuine warm welcome and every home comfort to make their stay enjoyable.
The cottage sleeps 5 comfortably in three bedrooms, 1 spacious double on the ground floor with a king-size bed, 1 twin and 1 single with a cot (not bedding) on the first floor. ­­­­
The bathroom is situated on the ground floor.
The stairs to the first floor are moderately steep with a hand rail, not recommended for the less able.
The lounge suite is a 3seater 2seater 1chair with matching foot stool and in there is a 37’’ TV, a DVD / CD player, also books and tourist information.

The cottage has been awarded category 3 for the less able.
Ashmark is central for touring Ayrshire, the Isle of Arran, Dumfries and Galloway and within easy reach of Glasgow, by road or rail.

To the rear with access from the lounge patio doors, is a delightful west-facing garden complete with patio area and garden furniture, ideal for dining alfresco.

Here a car is essential there is private parking at the front of the property.

Relax and enjoy the freedom of self-catering in this beautiful location, away from the hustle and bustle of busy roads and crowded streets, but within easy reach of town, coast or city.

Robert Burns, Scotland's National Poet, was a frequent visitor to Glen Afton, made the River Afton famous in the song "Flow gently sweet Afton among thy green braes""... Come see for yourself!

From Ashmark the coastal towns of Ayr, Troon and Prestwick are approximately 25 miles.
Glasgow is 45 miles and is easy accessible by car in 1hour, or you can travel into the centre of Glasgow by train from New Cumnock Railway Station.

Dumfries - is 38 miles
Edinburgh is approximately 70 miles.
