    Road Directions

On entering St Andrews from Cupar, you will pass the Old Course Hotel on the left and should  continue through the first and second mini roundabouts into North Street (second and first exits respectively at the roundabouts).

Continue along North Street which is a long straight road of about a mile. You will see the old cathedral ahead and the road turns right  On passing the cathedral turn left through an old sandstone archway into "The Pends". Continue down, to the bottom , turning left after passing through through another ancient stone  archway.

You are now in the EAST SANDS/ HARBOUR AREA.  and should drive along the cobbled street 100 metres where the group of buildings called Shorehead is; The Auld Hoose is the first and largest of all of the buildings and you approach it from the South side.

The building is white with blue woodwork and iron railings with stained hardwood balustrades.

Parking is free . It is not private but in my experience it is very unusual (less than one in ten visits) for me to be unable to poark right in front of The Auld Hoose.
