The 'Clootie' well,even today folk believe in the wonders of the spring waters.Stop at the Pantry for refreshments, you will not be able to resist their baking.You still have the opportunity to catch up on time by taking the Nigg ferry across the firth. Or better still stop over,the Isle is a perfect spot to visit all the highlands, so give yourself a break,save unpacking and packing,rest enjoy the sights and sounds of this magical place. Our home is modern affording the luxury of being very airy and well insulated.We have some of the best views overlooking the Udale bay and the Cromarty Firth, All our rooms have views, woodland, farmland, in the spring watch the lambs, then gaze in awe at Ben Wyvis.The firth, watch the cruise liners arrive and depart during the summer, the oil rigs towed in by tugs for repair . Perfect for catching sight of migrating birds including; wigeon,geese,goldeneye,cormorants,red breasted mergansers,red shanks,curlews,dunlins,and oyster catchers. It is a hive of activity and a pleasure to observe, and listen too, although the geese can get pretty vocal. Now we have a new 'Hide' in Jemimaville,where it is so much bigger and better offering more viewing stations,Full size windows, with feeders outside to attract the smaller birds,August is the best time to see the Osprey fishing in the bay. Our beds are very comforatble our breakfast is all fresh locally sourced fare,the rooms have all the comforts of home,where you will be made very welcome.
