    Avalon is a traditional large detached villa comfortably accommodating up to 10 people, providing a luxurious base for holiday makers wanting to explore the area whilst providing ready access to the many amenities which Oban has to offer.

    Avalon Holiday Home in Oban, Scotland is an imposing  stone-built villa overlooking Oban Bay and the islands beyond. Perched on a hill in a quiet part of town, the house is only a short walk from the shops, restaurants, ferry terminal, railway station and leisure centre.

    Avalon is an ideal base for touring the west coast of mainland Scotland as well as visiting the beautiful Inner Hebridean  islands of Mull, Iona, Coll, Islay, Colonsay and Tiree and even further afield to the Outer Hebrides.

    Whether you enjoy walking, outdoor sports, visiting historical sites, castles and gardens or eating out, all activities and attractions can be reached within a short walk or drive from Avalon.

    The house comfortably accommodates ten guests, in five bedrooms with plenty of shower/ bathrooms. It is both child and pet friendly being conveniently located in a private cul-de-sac, away from passing cars.

    Avalon is fully equipped to modern standards with Wifi and Freesat TV. There are no hidden extras with all gas, electricity, use of Wifi, linen and towels, included in the price.

    Outside of the main house there is a large parking area, mature garden with decked seating area and a games room, accessed by a metal staircase. There’s plenty to keep the family busy in the games room with full sized pool table, football table, DVD and Playstation 2

    Road Directions

    Entering Oban on the A85, head towards the Atlantis Leisure Centre on Longsdale Road.  Passing the leisure centre on your right, carry on along Longsdale Road up a slight incline and a 90 degree right turn.  Avalon is now situated slightly off Longsdale Road (on your right) and is best approached by turning around by the Telephone box at Longsdale Crescent, as the turn-in is fairly sharp and steep. Take the left up towards the "Latheron" B&B, then take the first turning left, up a steep shared drive and Avalon is the house on the right.
