Follow signs to Ayr town centre. After passing the train station on your left, follow the one way system down the hill. Turn left at the traffic lights at the T-junction behind the Odeon Cinema, travel along Beresford Terrace for 100 metres, then fork right at the school into Midton Road. Woodcroft Cottage is on the right just after Bellevue Rd.
From the nearest information centre:- From the Sandgate go south with the Tourist Information Centre on your right hand side. Go directly for about 0.25 miles past Wellington Square onto Racecourse Road. Find the Ellisland
Hotel on the left, turn left immediately. At the top of the road at the T junction turn right. Woodcroft is found 2nd on the right, no. 23 Midton Road.
Getting there by railway:- Direct train to Glasgow and Prestwick airport run every 30 minutes. It is 700 metres from Ayr Station to Woodcroft Cottage. Taxis wait on the Main Road outside the station or it's an easy 10 minute walk. On foot cross the square, go behind the Odeon Cinema into Beresford Terrace, after 300 metres fork right at the school into Midton Road, Woodcroft Cottage is on the right after the top of Beresford Terrace.
Getting there by aeroplane:- Prestwick Airport to Woodcroft Cottage is 5 minutes by car. Turn left on leaving the Airport and travel through the town of Prestwick and Ayr. In Ayr town centre, turn left at the traffic lights at the T-junction behind the Odeon Cinema, travel along Beresford Terrace for 100 metres, then fork right at the school into Midton Road.
