Bairlinnean'/fishermen's Cottage

Fisherman's Cottage located in the old part of Thurso with uninterrupted rear sea views of the Pentland Firth and Orkney Islands. The cottage comprises a kitchen, dining room, lounge, two double bedrooms and bathroom/shower/toilet.

There is also an enclosed rear garden/patio.The cottage comes fully furnished with the provision of bedding, towels, tea towels which are changed weekly (on a Saturday). Accommodation is ideal for four adults, but cot can be provided. Pets are also welcome and a bed/towel can also be supplied.The cottage is available all year round based on weekly lets from Saturday to Saturday. Prices of such weekly lets vary according time of year. Thurso is the UK's most northerly town and is located in Caithness in the North of Scotland. 'Bairlinnean' is a fisherman's cottage located in the old part of town on the coastline of the Pentland Firth. The cottage affords uninterrupted rear sea views of both the Pentland Firth and Orkney Islands and Indeed it is possible to see the 'Old Man of Hoy' which is a famous Orcadian rock stack.There is much to see in Caithness generally and the cottage is a perfect base for walks both east and west. The Castle of Mey is some eight miles to the east and John O'Groats some twenty miles beyond that. To the west is the Kyle of Tongue, Durness and Cape Wrath. Additionally there are ferries available from Scrabster, Gills and John O'Groats to the Orkney Islands and beyond. In general terms, Caithness and Sutherland are areas of oustanding beauty with numerous unspoilt places to explore.
