Setting

Located on the shores of Loch Linnhe and Loch Leven at the “crossing of the waters” just 2 hours drive from central Scotland, The Ballachulish Hotel is the perfect base for short breaks at any time of the year. Restaurant

The Bulas Bar & Bistro has a stylish contemporary atmosphere but maintains the important tradition of the roaring log fire. Sit by the fire with a cappuccino and a light meal, or lochside for a relaxed romantic sunset dining. Our menus change daily and take advantage of the best local seasonal produce to offer you delicious freshly prepared food.

We offer everything from hearty breakfasts in the morning, packed lunches for your days out exploring, bar bites and afternoon teas with friends, relaxed a la carte dining and private dinners for those special occasions. Days and nights pass too quickly in the friendly and traditional warmth of the Bùlas Bar. Live entertainment is often provided on selected nights in the Bùlas Bar or in our Lounge.

Bedrooms

Our bedrooms are decorated in traditional style reflecting the hotel’s Highland heritage, many with breathtaking views of the loch and the dramatic landscape. Whether you choose a Feature Room or a standard room you will be sure of a comfortable stay and a peaceful nights rest. Feature rooms guarantee a beautiful view over Loch Linnhe and have a distinct Highland Character. Standard rooms are similar but may have a restricted view while our bright Wee Loch View Rooms are located in the more modern part of the building.

Guest can enjoy complimentary unlimited WiFi access throughout their stay and it is available in all bedrooms and public areas.

Road Directions

Travel along the A82 towards Fort William. At the first roundabout take the right turning signposted for Oban A828. The Hotel is located just underneath the Road Bridge.

From the nearest information centre:- Ballachulish Hotel is located 2 miles from the TIC on the Oban road just under the road bridge.

Getting there by railway:- Nearest Railway Station is Fort William 12 miles away. Transport to the hotel from here can be by Local Bus service or Taxi.

Getting there by aeroplane:- Glasgow Airport from the South and Inverness Airport from the North are both 2 hours drive to Ballachulish
