Welcome to Balmaha Bunkhouse.
Offering prime views over Loch Lomond Scotland right on the West Highland Way and just 7 miles from Ben Lomond, Scotland's most southerly Munro (mountain over 3000ft/914mts). We have very flexible accommodation in The Bunkhouse which can sleep up to 14 persons in 1 Double, 1 Twin, 1 x 4 persons and 1 x 6 persons. We also have a self contained chalet sleeping 4 persons which is available all year round for a holiday in Scotland or for a short break near Loch Lomond. The front rooms of the house overlook Balmaha Bay and many of the southern islands of Loch Lomond. All rooms are en-suite with tea and coffee making facilities.
Accommodation in the very well equipped and comfortable Bunkhouse includes free tea and coffee and a cold cereal breakfast plus bread for toast. Free WiFi is also available. Basic Bedding is provided consisting of a quilt plus cover a pillow plus slip matters cover and bedsheet. Towels and extra bed sheet or sleeping bag liner are available on request at a small extra charge of £2. Guests also have full use of the self catering kitchen for cooking their own food. A packed lunch can be provided for an extra £4.50. Dogs are welcome in the Bunkhouse.
The Bunkhouse has a fully fitted disabled toilet on the ground floor. Please note that there are no laundry facilities available but boot washing is permitted outside. Exclusive use of the Bunkhouse can be booked during the autumn and winter months for Stags and Hens parties, Corporate away days for team building or as a base for Outdoor Training.
Located on the picturesque shores of Loch Lomond in the village of Balmaha on the route of The West Highland Way, Balmaha Bunkhouse is ideal for walkers on the long distant walk and also water sport enthusiasts wanting to explore the islands and landscape of Loch Lomond. Balmaha is a lovely Scottish village with its own pub and marina and is within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, an area designated for its outstanding natural beauty.
Balmaha is an ideal base for exploring Loch Lomond and the wider area of The Trossachs and the Southern Highlands. There is a Waterbus Taxi service that stops at Balmaha and can take you all over Loch Lomond and is a great way to explore the 25 mile length of the loch.
