Balsporran Cottages Bed & Breakfast offers well presented, comfortable holiday accommodation close to Dalwhinnie and is a great base for exploring the Drumochter Hills, spotting the local wildlife and enjoying the stunning, unique views of the Scottish Highlands. Ideally located on the Perthshire/ Inverness-shire border, Balsporran is located in the wild Drumochter Pass in the Cairgorm National Park within 30 minutes of many of the area's natural and historic attractions including Blair Castle, one of the most visited historic castles in Scotland.
The generously sized rooms at the Balsporran Cottages are beautifully decorated with quality furnishings and warm, fluffy duvets, televisions and free Wifi. The luxurious and spacious guest lounge has a real log fire and there is also a drying room available for wet coats and boots.
Breakfast is served at a time to suit you. Have an early start or gradually wind in the day at your leisure. Choose from our delicious menu, a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast, Scottish smoked salmon, fresh homemade rolls and Scottish cheese are just some of the choices. Naturally there are also cereals, yoghurt, fruit and porridge to choose from. All our breakfasts are served with toast and preserves, orange juice and endless tea or coffee (with or without the caffeine!) made with water from our own natural spring supply. In addition, packed lunches / picnics are available for your day-trips.
Accommodation is on B&B basis, dinner is optional, but recommended! Home cooked meals are available upon request from our extensive menu. We also provide a great variety of vegetarian meals. Dinner is served at 7.30pm and fresh local produce is used. If you choose to enjoy an evening meal at Balsporran Cottages, you can be sure of simple delightful dishes, freshly made.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at Balsporran.
