Bank Hotel

Overview

Built in 1923 as a grand bank building, the building was extensively renovated with many original features lovingly restored in 1998 to create The Bank Hotel and has recently undergone a large refurbishment programme in February 2008.
The Bank Hotel comprises nine bedrooms of a 3* standard, each one individually created to reflect the work and lives of a famous Scot. Arranged over the top three floors and accessed via the original staircase, all rooms benefit from LCD panel TV's, en-suite bathrooms and Tea & Coffee making facilities as well as views of the world famous Royal Mile below and creature comforts such as luxury bath robes.
In the morning a full Scottish and continental style breakfast selection is served by our helpful staff in the mezzanine level of the Bank Bar, with views onto The Royal Mile.
The Bank Bar, timeless in design with glorious wood panelling and a cool relaxed atmosphere and offers a wide range of drinks and an extensive daily food menu. Showing sporting fixtures on a regular basis and having an outdoor seating area on The Royal Mile ensures that the The Bank Bar remains popular with tourists, local residents and hotel guests alike.
Transport links to the hotel are superb, Edinburgh Waverley Train Station is only two minutes walk away, Edinburgh Airport is a mere 6 miles and a multitude of bus services run frequently to many locations from this city centre hub.
