The Bank Hotel pub & kitchen will be closed for full refurbishment until 30 June 2013. Apologies for any inconvenience.

The Bank Hotel located on The Royal Mile in the heart of the city centre, offers an alternative luxury hotel experience in one of Edinburgh's most prestigious historic landmarks.

Hosting an intimate 9 beautiful fully refurbished bedrooms ranging from our stylish 'Mile' bedrooms to our spacious 'Royal Mile' bedrooms, our crisp and clean interiors and décor is the perfect base to explore our great city with an ideal location.

Also included in all bedrooms is a self-lockable safe, iPod dock with ceiling in-built speakers, bathroom controllable speaker system, full tea and coffee making facilities which come with Scottish delicacies. All bedrooms come with GHD hair straighteners as standard, large flat screen TV, iron with iron board and working desk area and complimentary Wi-Fi.

With such an excellent location, transport is not necessary, however, Waverley Train Station is only two minutes walk away & Edinburgh Airport can be accessed via the Airlink bus service which runs every 10 minutes from the airport to the city centre. Road Directions

From the airport, follow signs to Edinburgh city centre along the A8, through Corstorphine, Murrayfield and Haymarket. At the West End of Princes Street, turn right into Lothian Road and take the first left into Kings Stables Road. Follow this road under the bridge until you reach the Grassmarket. At the T Junction turn left into the Grassmarket and continue through onto the Cowgate under two bridges. Take 1st left after the second bridge into Blackfriars Street. Turn left at the top onto the Royal Mile and 1st Left again into Niddry Street. You can park here while you unload your luggage and the hotel will give you directions to the nearest car park.

Public Transport Directions

From the nearest information centre:- Within walking distance. Come on to Princes Street and turn right at the Balmoral Hotel on the corner of North Bridge. Cross the Bridge. At the end of the Bridge cross the road to the left for the hotel.

Getting there by railway:- Take the train to Edinburgh Waverley Station. The Hotel is within walking distance from here. Come on to Princes Street and turn right at the Balmoral Hotel on the corner of North Bridge. Cross the Bridge. At the end of the Bridge cross the road to the left for the hotel.

Getting there by aeroplane:- Take the Airport bus 100 to Waverley Bridge. Within walking distance. Come on to Princes Street and turn right at the Balmoral Hotel on the corner of North Bridge. Cross the Bridge. At the end of the Bridge cross the road to the left for the hotel as it's situated on the corner of the Royal Mile and South Bridge.
