Bankhead House

B&B

Bankhead House, Bankhead Farm, Leven, Fife, KY8 5NL

A tranquil countryside retreat, Bankhead offers spacious and comfortable accommodation with glorious, panoramic views over the Firth of Forth to the Bass Rock in the east, the coast and hills of East Lothian, and to Edinburgh to the west.

A family home, our 19th century house is a delightful combination of old and new: original architechtural features blended with contemporary luxury and comfort. We offer two lovely rooms for guests who'd like to share this special place with us for a while. We are within easy reach of the East Neuk of Fife. Bankhead House nestles about a mile inland of the southern coastline of Fife known as Largo Bay. Our spectacular views are usually the first thing that guests comment on, and take time to enjoy. With our rural location easily accessible from the main road ( one mile), we can offer the best of town and country, and can recommend some of our favourite places to visit, as well as having brochures, guides and maps to help you make your daily selection of where to go and what to do.

Two first floor, ensuite guest bedrooms with lovely, southerly views have hospitality trays and a sitting area. The Town bedroom has a king sized bed. The Country bedroom can either be twin bedded or with a super-king sized bed.
Your Aga cooked breakast is served in the dining room. We use local produce where possible, complemented with our own home grown fruit when in season, and home made preserves. A simpler breakfast choice is also available.

The dining room also doubles as the guest lounge where you can enjoy the relaxed, peaceful atmosphere (there is a television if you want to keep up to date). You're welcome to borrow books, games, puzzles or dvd's during your stay.
After a good meal in one of the local hotels or pubs, the long Summer evenings can be enjoyed in our lovely garden, perhaps sitting by the pond watching the garden wildlife; maybe walking the country paths spotting deer, foxes, birds of prey; perhaps meeting our horses and discovering our natural approaches and methods; or simply relaxing with a good book or film. Spring and Autumn evenings can be enjoyed in front of a cosy log fire

Welcome to Bankhead, your space to relax, enjoy and explore.
