Barcloy Milk And Honey House

Overview

Offering the perfect rural retreat, both of the cottages have been stylishly furnished and tastefully decorated. The Milk House sleeps four (1 double, 1 twin) and the Honey House sleeps six (2 doubles, 1 twin). Both are equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, DVD player, TV, hi-fi, barbecue, garden furniture, coffee machine, bed linen, fluffy towels and gorgeous smelling complimentary toiletries as well as many other little extras which will make your stay great.

The owners live just stone's throw away and are always on hand if you need anything. If you fancy a break from the cooking, they are both excellent cooks and will prepare delicious home-cooked meals for you, made from tasty homegrown vegetables and locally sourced produce where possible. Alternatively, they can fill the cottage's cupboards with groceries ready for your arrival and you can buy homegrown vegetables, eggs and honey from the farm.

Located only 5 miles from the Artists' Town of Kirkcudbright with its picturesque harbour, you can visit the historic Tollbooth and castle and make sure you don't miss the chance to explore the many fantastic art galleries and craft shops which make this town so special. For those of you looking for an active break, nearby there is a tennis court, an 18-hole golf course and a swimming pool. Walking and cycling trails are also within easy reach and activity centres offer more high-octane adventure, such as abseiling and watersports. You are also ideally located for exploring the region's unspoilt beaches.
