Barr na Criche Cottage is a comfortable and spacious cottage, situated on the edge of an old woodland on 200 acres of land belonging to the cottage, with open views across the loch to Kintyre.
A superb base to sit, relax and get away from it all.
Electricity, bed linen, towels and logs for the open fire are all included in the price. There is wide spread walking within the grounds and down to the seashore where you can explore rock pools, beach combing or swimming in crystal clear water. This is a paradise for children, with plenty of space to run safely and the owner's ponies, hens and sheep to feed.
The picturesque fishing village of Tarbert is nine miles away and has an excellent range of shops and restaurants. There is also a golf course at Tarbert.
A day trip to one of the islands is great fun. The Isle of Gigha, famous for its gardens, has a ferry that runs hourly, whilst the larger ferry (which sails in view of the cottage) takes you to Islay, famous for its whisky. Hop over to the Island of Arran, climb Goat Fell (2800ft) and bring back some Arran Cheese.
There is much in the way of historical interest in the area, as well as horse riding and fishing.
Lettings are Saturday to Saturday although short breaks are also available - come away and enjoy!
